Cape Cod Cellars - Nantucket Merlot

With hints of vanilla, tobacco, and clove, this Central Coast Merlot pairs well with light meats and roasted vegetables. The medium tannins and low acidity allow for a smooth finish. The bright berry flavors and spiciness which originates from prime Santa Maria vineyard have resulted in a fruit-forward and eminently drinkable Merlot. After aging the wine in 60-gallon French oak barrels for 12 months, this wine has a deliberate merlot structure with proper amounts of tannins and viscosity. This 2018 Merlot is showing beautifully now and will age nicely over the next 3-5 years.
